Introduction

My name is Andrew Noske, I'm currently 35, and working at Google Maps as a software engineer. Prior to this I was working as a postdoctoral employee in image processing and neuro-science at the National Center for Microscopy and Imaging Research (NCMIR) at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). I completed my PhD in computer science, electron tomography and cellular biology at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience (IMB) at the University of Queensland (UQ) in Brisbane on receipt of an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) scholarship and before that a computer science/IT degree with honours and a university medal at James Cook University (JCU) in Cairns, Australia.
