OVERVIEW:
================

CP3046 was the easiest course I had this semester. There wasn't much work involved (although last year the lecturer was a lot tougher) and there wasn't much to learn.

Assessment included 3 big submission - 20%,30% & 50% respectively (i.e: no test).

Each submission required documentation (most of the marks) and a very short 10 minute speech (to your "stakeholder").

I included just about everything, but you probably only want to look at the three Word files ending with "Documentation".

DETAILS:
================

You'll notice the only specs we got for each 3 submission were nothing but a list of sections we were suppose to include. Pretty vague I thought and they weren't explained especially well during our measly 2 contact hours per week, so sometimes I would have to use external sources. The book "Information Technology Project Management" seemed okay, but we weren't tested on it, so, to be honestly, I probably only read 30 pages.

Learning to use Microsoft Project was one thing we did have to do, but its easy enough - especially if you have a copy.

Also, every project was very different. The poorly defined "high-level design" in the very last assignment would look completely different from one project to the next. Interestingly, we were only expected to write 15 pages - so you can ignore my Appendixes on "Ass3 - Documentation", because it was all too low level. I've cut most of it out to save space.

I hope this documentation help you, but remember different project call for different approaches in this subject. Ask around and make sure that you're project isn't too technically difficult as soon as possible. If you don't then you'll get a nasty shock later on, during the "Literature Review".

CP3046 is all about documentation & preparing for CP3047. We didn't touch code once - the implementation of the project comes next semester in CP3047..... so that's why a good plan of attack and achieveable project is important.

FINAL WORDS:

Note: I chose excel to draw most of my diagrams & Microsoft Visio for flowcharts. To put these into my word document I used the print screen button. Easy as that.
