Quick History

The Macintosh was introduced in 1984 and was one of the first personal computers to feature a graphical user interface (GUI) rather than a command-line interface.

Over the years, the Mac lineup has evolved and expanded to include both desktop and laptop models. Here's a general breakdown:

Desktops:

  • iMac: An all-in-one desktop computer with the computer hardware integrated into the same case as the monitor.
  • Mac mini: A small, standalone desktop machine that requires an external monitor.
  • Mac Pro: A high-end desktop computer targeted at professionals and power users, which also requires an external monitor.

Laptops:

  • MacBook Air: A thin and light laptop known for its portability.
  • MacBook Pro: A laptop designed for professionals and power users, available in various sizes and configurations.
