Fluffy Puppy

     ... playful, lovable, cute AF

Fuzzy hair, fluffy puppy,
Cuter than a well dressed guppy.
How on earth, did you get so lucky,
To be born so cute, that I want you to hug me.

If your spirit animal,
Is any type of dog,
You are loyal and dependable,
With unconditional love.

And if your animal,
Is a puppy to boot,
Well then add your attributes,
"playful AF" and "unbearably cute".

I could sit,
And watch you all day.
Rolling on the squishy grass,
Ready to play.

A puppy is universal,
It represents youth, happiness and fun.
If only we could all learn from fluffy puppy,
And lay out in the sun.

So I say to this fluffy puppy,
Never lose that spark!
Show the world your excitement,
And let out your best bark.

And when a wonderful day is ending,
And you let out a yawn.
I will cuddle you to my chest,
To keep you happy and warm.

About this Poem... Animal: Puppy Description/motivation: I dedicate this poem to Megan. You have the energy of a fluffy puppy, and I say that as the highest compliment. I read an article "dog spirit animal" before writing this, but really I only picked three words from that article... the puppy is in a class of its own. ;) This is one in a serious of poems I've written about various animals. The motivation, is that I love the idea of spirit animals, and I decided, one day, to ask many of my friend what animal they think best represents their personality. In some cases the poems are written with the person in mind... and sometimes it's purely about the animal. Read more about my process here.
