The 0 to 10 "Selfless scale" scale below is a nice wakeup call to a lot of people who are highly selfish or highly selfless. Leaning too far either way can be problematic. I speak from experience when I say that selfless people are often taken advantage of, and you need to learn to say no. Selfish people are... Well sometimes they are not easy to recognize at first, but this scale can help you decide who in your life is considerate of your feelings and who is not. Of all my graphic scales this is probably one of the most confronting, and yet - as per all of my 0 to 10 scales - I've tried to make it playful enough to take away some of the scary factor.

When To Use This Scale
Using this scale on yourself is a no-brainer. I feel like I'm a 9 trying to get to an 8. I can't really tell you when to use this scale on others though. Maybe you just want to think about some of your friends and family members and imagine where they might fall, but not actually tell them. Or maybe it's really sweet to send this graphic to a friend who is caring and say "girl, you a 9 on a scale, and I just want you to know I see you". If you have a lover who is selfish you might want to sit down with this scale at your own risk. Sometimes people are unaware of the ways in which they are selfish, and if they have a growth mindset they might actually appreciate you pointing it out so they can become more self aware and consider changing behavior. If, however, a relationship is toxic and the other person refuses to change then.... well maybe you need to end that relationship.
