PDIS has been operating in North Queensland since October 1995, and has completed more sites, has more satisfied clients, and has received more awards than any web publishing firm north of Brisbane. With over 250 web sites in place, and a team of 6 people in Cairns, we have proved repeatedly that we have the experience, resources and expertise to develop a web site that works - not just talk about it.
We are one of the founders of the Australasian Web Publishers Association (our industry body), have participated in government IT and tourism advisory groups at regional, state and federal levels, and have assisted TAFE in multimedia curriculum development. Perhaps most importantly of all, we have also had extensive prior experience in the tourism industry.
Our clients' web sites have received national and international acclaim having won Site Of The Day and Hot Site awards from Yahoo US, Yahoo Australia, Infoseek, LookSmart, Netscape, Open Directory, Pointcom, and CNet, and over the past 4 years we have had 7 finalists and 3 winners in the Queensland IT Awards. This is in addition to over 50 other awards, and numerous tourism industry plaudits at regional, state and national levels.

- Simplicity: We don't hide behind technical jargon - it's all straight talk on a level that you can understand.
- Experience: We build web sites full-time. This is not a part-time job or a hobby to us. The person building your web site will be an experienced and tertiary qualified computer professional - no moonlighting sales reps, no JobStart web page coder, no Work Experience graphic designer.
- Choice: We will not force you into a templated web site. The design parameters are completely at your discretion.
- Follow Through: We forge on-going relationships with our clients, rather than just delivering sites and then walking away.
- Infrastructure: We have full commercial level in-house capabilities for design, construction, deployment and support.
- Pricing: We do not rent web sites, we sell them. Although a maintenance contract can be arranged if you wish, we do not charge retainers or ongoings that hide the actual web site cost over an extended contract period. Future work is carried out at our scheduled hourly rate. Be wary of cheap entry rates, and high ongoing charges.
- Confidentiality: Your design concept and deployment strategy will remain strictly confidential, and will not be recycled for use in subsequent web sites for your commercial competitors.
- Hosting: We do not resell ancillary services. If you require web site hosting or domain name registration, we will work with your existing service provider or put you directly in touch with a commercial hosting service. We know what our core business is - we build web sites.
Over the past 6 years we have seen other web publishing firms come, and seen many of them go, but we have prospered and grown by providing the right mix of functionality, technology and marketing strategy to our clients.
