A new support project I've started - think of it as a giant notepad.

Wow, it's July already - over half the year has passed ... where does the time go!!!! It's scary almost ... so many little personal goals and PhD milestones I wanted to have achieved by now and not met. Oh well.. the GOOD news is I might be getting a car soon, and after that I'll have no excuse not to start asking girls out.

Two weeks ago I went to Sydney. It wasn't the best circumstances - it was my grandmother's funeral. The whole event was sad, but not as sad as I expected, and I'm really glad I went, because I got to help out, support dad and I got to see most of my cousins (on my dad's side) again. And MAN have they grown (see the picture)! It's been a LONG time since I went to Sydney actually - and my younger cousin are threatening to be taller than me .... the bastards! The Noske family is pretty tall as a whole actually ..... not to mention eccentric. It's a shame I only had three days there, but I saw almost everyone, so that's okay.

The bad news is I caught a nasty flu - or chest infection - or something ... I don't really know. All I know is I've been coughing a lot and it's even keeping one of housemates awake at night; she lives directly above me. I've already taken three of days at home off work, which I feel guilty about, because I find it tough to do work at home nowadays ... it use to be I did ALL my study at home, but not in this house ... too many distractions. There is always too much other stuff that needs to get done.

Going to a party on Sunday, although it was a great party, probably didn't help my sickness either. Here's hoping I get over it soon - and hopefully it won't be more than a month and a bit before I get a car .... I really want it. Living away from home gives you independence sure, but I highly underestimated the independence I lost when I sold my car back in Cairns. And maybe I've highly overestimated the value of having a car in Brisbane, but I guess I'll find out the expensive way.

Jim leaves soon - which is sad - because I know ALL of us relied on him a lot for support when we needed it - which was just as well, because we sure couldn't rely on him for doing chores! We'll miss Jim - but our new housemate Keirn has already moved in, so with seven people our house is a bit crowded. In other news I've added a section on dancing - which I've been planning on doing for a long time - although I had hoped I'd have videos to go along with it. It's not what I imagined but it's better than nothing I guess. It's amazing how much time things take - just updating this site has taken most of my night, so I better go to bed soon! Night all.
