06/02 | Good Medicine !
Hello again all. I had a look through some of my old entries .... and some of them are LONNGGG. My recent entries are getting shorter - which is probably a good thing! I'm going to try and have less personal stuff on this site because it's obvious now the whole "don't-visit-this-site-unless you're-a-friend-of-mine" thing doesn't work).... but on this occasion I can't help myself. I'm actually sick today. Yesterday I was fine and playing soccer... but overnight I felt pretty crook and decided to stay home - giving me a chance to catch up on some e-mailing. ANYHOW* I told Debbie I was sick on MSN, and just now, when I walked out the door the most adorable little "care package" was sitting there for me. It's one of the most thoughtful things anyone has ever done for me and so practical too! I title this photo "one of the many benefits of dating a med student"! She gave me medicine, and even gave me instructions on what to do. So yeah, that was really touching! .... although... if it gets to the point where she dresses me in one of those white nightgowns, feeds me lollies and checks my pulse every five minutes it might get a little weird. Hopefully I'll be better by Friday, and definitely I hope I'm better by Valentines day. My first ever Valentine day when I won't be alone.... wow. :-)
The tough thing is I thought I was doing pretty well buying Debbie flowers every couple of weeks.... but she keeps doing thoughtful stuff like this.... and here is me struggling to think of something original. If anyone has any ideas tell me! :-)
In other news, uq market day is coming up, and so is my cruise. Bad news is Alby can't come anymore because he got a new job.... err I mean... GREAT news! Alby has a new job!!! Wohoo! (*selfish p**ck). I don't know much about it except that it's at uq, and he has to budget over a million dollars worth of research money and he's a bit nervous about that. I wonder if he can direct some of that research money my way... Hrmmmm ...
Anyone want to go on a week long cruise to Vanuatu on the 23rd ?
Oh, and finally, I'm going to show a cool picture of a burst water pipe a house up from us a month ago. It was pretty cool to watch. :-)
Stay tuned.... in March I'll tell your stories about my cruise. Hopefully the low pressure system goes away and I can actually enjoy the trip without any more sickness.
Peace out my "bizzles", (Annalle taught me that word)
Andrew.
